• Stone selection — help choosing the type of stone and the finish, so the colour, veining and texture suit the room and the light in it.
• Design drawings — plans and elevations showing every piece, so you can see how the stone, joinery and appliances sit together before anything is cut.
• Templating — measurements taken from the actual room once it is ready, so the stone fits your walls and floors as they really are.
• Delivery — stone is heavy and awkward, so we plan access and lifting in advance with you and your builder.

How it works

1. Consultation. We talk through the room, how you use it and what you want it to feel like. Bring plans, photographs or a designer's drawings if you have them.
2. Stone and finish choice. You see and handle samples at our Watford showroom, so you can judge colour and texture in person rather than from a screen.
3. Survey and design. We measure the room and produce drawings for the stone and any joinery, then adjust them with you until they are right.
4. Making. The stone pieces are prepared and any cabinetry is made in our own joinery workshop in Watford.
5. Installation. Our team fits everything on site, working to the programme agreed with you, your builder or your architect.

How a price is given

Every stone kitchen and bathroom is different, so we do not price from a list. We give a quotation once the design has been agreed and the room has been surveyed, so the figure is based on your actual layout, the stone you have chosen and the amount of work involved.

If you have a budget in mind, tell us at the first meeting. It is much easier to design to a budget than to cut one back later.

What types of stone can I choose from?

Vaselli furniture is made from solid stone, and there is a range of stones and finishes to choose between. Each one behaves and looks slightly different, so we go through the options with you and show you samples at our Watford showroom before anything is decided.

Can I see and touch the finishes before I commit?

Yes. Photographs never quite tell you what a stone feels like or how it changes in daylight. Come to our showroom and workshop at Unit 5A, Shakespeare Industrial Estate, Shakespeare Street, Watford WD24 5RR and handle the samples before you choose.

How do I look after and clean stone?

Stone is hard-wearing but it is a natural material, so it needs sensible care rather than harsh cleaners. We will talk you through cleaning and looking after the particular stone you choose when we hand the room over, so you are not guessing.

How long does a Vaselli project take?

It depends on the size of the room, the stone chosen and how your wider building work is running. We will give you a realistic programme once the design is agreed and the room has been surveyed, and we will keep it in step with your builder or architect.

Will the finished room look like the drawings?

That is the point of drawing it properly first. We produce design drawings showing every piece, template from the room itself, and install the work ourselves, so what arrives on site is what you approved.
