Intervari Bespoke Kitchens
An Intervari kitchen is designed for your room and made to measure, not picked from a catalogue. We draw the layout with you, make the cabinetry in our own joinery workshop in Watford, and fit it ourselves.
It suits homeowners across London and Hertfordshire who are part-way through a renovation or new build and want one team to handle design, joinery and installation. We also work with interior designers and architects who are specifying furniture for a client.

What's included
A bespoke kitchen from us usually covers the whole job, from first sketch to the day you start cooking:
- Design drawings so you can see the layout, elevations and detail before anything is made
- A site survey at your property, so every cabinet is cut to the real measurements
- Cabinetry made in our Watford workshop at Shakespeare Industrial Estate
- Worktops, chosen and templated to suit the design
- Appliance planning, so sizes, services and clearances are sorted early
- Installation by our own fitters, followed by a handover
What each quote covers can vary with the size and complexity of the project, so we confirm the exact scope in writing before you commit.
How it works
1. Consultation
We talk through how you use the room, what you like, and what the rest of the project involves. Bring plans, photographs or a scrapbook if you have them.
2. Survey and design
We measure the space and produce drawings. You'll see the layout and the detail before we make anything, and we adjust until it's right.
3. Materials and finishes
You choose timbers, paint colours, worktops and hardware. You're welcome to see and handle samples at our showroom and workshop in Watford rather than deciding from a screen.
4. Making
Your cabinetry is built in our joinery workshop, so we can keep an eye on the finish and answer questions while it's being made.
5. Installation and handover
Our fitters install the kitchen, connect up with your other trades where needed, and walk you through everything at the end.
Why choose Intervari
We are independent. We are not tied to one cabinet supplier, so the design follows your room and your budget rather than a fixed range.
We have our own joinery workshop. The furniture is made in Watford, not ordered in and badged. That means awkward corners, tall runs and one-off pieces are all possible.
We work alongside other professionals. Interior designers, architects and builders are all part of most projects we do. We're used to sharing drawings, agreeing setting-out and fitting in with a build programme.
You can visit us. Our showroom and workshop are at Unit 5A, Shakespeare Industrial Estate, Shakespeare Street, Watford WD24 5RR, so you can see finished work and touch the finishes before you decide.
How we price a kitchen
Every kitchen is different, so we don't publish a price list. After the first consultation and a look at your plans, we give you a written quotation setting out the cabinetry, worktops, appliances and installation included.
Once you're happy with the design and the quote, we agree the drawings and book the workshop and installation dates. If a design fee applies to your project, we'll tell you what it is and how it is treated before you spend anything.
Please ask us to confirm current lead times, payment stages and any design fee when you get in touch — we'll put it all in writing.
Common questions before you enquire
Below are the questions homeowners ask us most often. If yours isn't here, call 01923 954769 or email us and we'll answer plainly.
Frequently asked questions
Will the finished kitchen look like the design drawings?
That is the point of the drawings. We produce layouts and elevations from a measured survey, agree them with you, and make from those drawings in our own workshop. If something has to change during the build, we tell you before it happens rather than after.
How long does a bespoke kitchen take?
It depends on the size of the kitchen and how far along your building work is. As a rough shape, expect a design and survey stage, then a making stage in the workshop, then installation. Ask us for current lead times when you enquire and we'll give you real dates for your project.
Do you make the furniture yourselves?
Yes. Our joinery workshop is in Watford, at Shakespeare Industrial Estate, and it sits alongside our showroom. You are welcome to visit and see how the work is made.
Can I see and touch the finishes first?
Yes. Come to the Watford showroom and workshop and look at samples of timber, paint finishes, worktops and hardware in daylight before you commit. Please arrange a time with us first.
Will you work with my builder, architect or interior designer?
Yes, and we often do. We share drawings, agree setting-out and services early, and fit our installation into the wider build programme so your trades aren't waiting on us.
What happens after the kitchen is installed?
We hand the kitchen over and show you how everything works. If something needs adjusting after you've lived with it for a while, get in touch and we'll sort it. Ask us to confirm what aftercare and any warranty cover includes for your project.
If you're planning a bespoke kitchen in London or Hertfordshire, the easiest next step is a conversation. Call 01923 954769, email design@intervaridesign.com, or book a design consultation and come and see the workshop in Watford.
